Peer Group Sessions are an essential component of the iPEC Coach Training Program, offering students a collaborative space to enhance coaching skills and discuss relevant topics with classmates. These sessions are structured to help you integrate your learning, practice and receive group feedback, and gain valuable insights from your peers.
What Are Peer Group Sessions?
Peer Group Sessions are 12 facilitated meetings throughout your entire training program where students:
- Practice coaching techniques.
- Engage in discussions on coaching topics.
- Build connections and foster growth within their peer network.
Each session lasts one hour and provides a supportive environment to apply what you’ve learned in the program.
When Do Peer Group Assignments Happen?
You will receive your Peer Group assignment approximately three weeks after completing Module I. Once your assignment is ready, you’ll receive an email notification. The details can be accessed in the Hub under your Post Module I Resources and Assignments course. Your group assignments can be found on your Coaching Assignments page.
NOTE: Unlike peer coaching, you will only be assigned ONE peer group. You will work with this group for the duration of your training.
Structure and Scheduling
Peer Group Sessions follow this suggested timeline:
- Six sessions between Module I and II.
- Six sessions between Module II and III.

- A Peer Group Leader, assigned by iPEC, will initiate the first meeting.
- Leadership rotates weekly, giving each member the opportunity to facilitate one or two sessions.
- Groups are encouraged to meet twice monthly to maintain momentum and consistent progress.
